Maureen Bartlett, author of Sharing the Joy, has been writing inspirational stories and poetry for more than twenty years. Her business background is in information technology, workplace training and education / business partnerships. Maureen’s passion is to encourage children and young adults to achieve their full potential through programs which develop self-esteem and positive outcomes.

Maureen is an inspirational speaker and performance poet. When not travelling, she and her husband live in Sydney.

Her new children’s picture book, Spiggie, The Story of a Puffin (Delphian Books / Dennis Jones Distributors) was written in celebration of one young boy’s perseverance and outstanding achievements during his struggle with verbal dyspraxia, a developmental speech disability. Spiggie, The Story of a Puffin is now on the Premier’s Reading Challenge Lists for K-2 and 3-4. This is a wonderful success story, achieved within a month of publication.

Maureen contributes to magazines and business journals, writes training courses and presentations. She creates individual poems for wedding anniversaries, the birth of special children and milestone events. These are professionally framed in Australian timber. Maureen also writes poetry to accompany large prints of Australian landscapes. A number of these decorator items have been auctioned for fundraising projects.

With two self-published books to her credit, Maureen is currently working on an adult novel for which she has secured a publishing proposal. Several children’s picture book manuscripts have been submitted to a UK publishing house, with two more on the drawing board.
