Tricia McGill spent most of her working life in the fashion industry. It wasn’t until she retired early that she was able to fulfill her dream of being a full-time writer. Although her published novels cross numerous sub-genres (Historical, time-travel, futuristic, contemporary, mainstream) they are all romances. Traces of Dreams won the Romance Writers of Australia's Romantic Book of the Year Award(R*BY) in 2003, and Shrinking Violet is a finalist in the 2006 R*BY. Her Time-Travel, White Clover, was voted Best Electronic Book of 2001 by the Romantic Times Book Club Reviewers, and Amaryllis was a finalist in the Romance category at the Independent E-Book Awards. Tricia’s short stories have featured in the Australian Woman's Day magazine. She compiled, collated, and edited two books of poems and short stories, with the proceeds going to a local community group doing valuable work providing disabled and housebound children and adults with computers. Tricia was born in London but settled in Australia years ago, near Melbourne in Victoria, where most of her contemporary romances, including her latest release, Irresistible Challenge, are set.
