It all started
in first grade when Cat Johnson won the essay contest at
Hawthorne Elementary School and got to ride in the Chief of
Police's car in the Memorial Day Parade…and the rest, as
they say, is history. As an adult, Cat generally tries to
stay out of police cars and is thrilled to be writing for a
living. She has been published under a different name in the
Young Adult genre, but Linden Bay Romance was the first to
release her romances.
When Cat Johnson
first decided to write a military romance, she knew nothing
except that she enjoyed reading books in that genre. Not
being military herself, lots of research followed. She read
everything she could find on the Internet, but more valuable
was interacting with active military on troop support sites.
Now, Cat communicates daily with troops and their families,
some halfway around the world. They provide real-life
military details, which she wraps in her fictionalized
romance tales. With the friendships she has built, she hopes
to continue penning books about alpha males in camo and
combat boots inspired by her real-life muses. Cat also
writes sensual contemporary romance featuring everyone from
firemen, to computer geeks, to best girlfriends in search of
love. All of her books are available in both eBook and Trade
Paperback.
On a personal
note, Cat has one horse, seven cats, a dog, two parakeets,
numerous fish and one husband, and is not sure which of
those gives her the most grief. Needless to say, she is very
busy most days on her little 18th century farm in New York
State. She plays the harp professionally and stresses that
this does not mean she plays well, just that she is actually
paid for it. A past bartender, marketing manager and Junior
League president, Cat's life is quite the dichotomy, and on
any given day she is just as likely to be in formal
eveningwear as in mucking clothes covered in manure.
Cat loves email
and is looking forward to hearing from you. She can be
