When ever I've searched for promotional opportunities in the past, the first thing I've asked is the stats for the site. That is, how many visitors they get. Because you are paying out your hard-earned money, you need to have this information to determine if it's worth your while advertising on a specific site. With that in mind, here's ours: In 2009, we received 10887 unique [first time] visitors and 48946 hits. (Hits=Searches on the internet.) We had multiple visits from each IP address, which means people were returning to the site, and not visiting only once. Our monthly visitor numbers ranged from 800 to 3,000. These are all extremely targeted - people looking for books to buy. (As of 15 June 2010, we've already passed the 6,000 mark for unique visitors for the year, and minimum monthly visitors of 1,000. That means we're well on the way to surpass last year's visitor rates.) *This information is derived from statistical information provided with our hosting package.
Please consider making a donation to help the site keep afloat. We've left the amount blank to allow you to decide the amount. If every author who uses any of our services donated just $5 each, this would pay for our hosting services for one whole year.
Help us to promote you by adding the Aussie Authors logo to your website. Every time someone clicks on the logo and arrives at this site, they will have the opportunity to learn more about you. In turn, that will assist with name recognition, and also give the reader more opportunity to learn more about your books. To place the logo on your website, right click and 'save picture as'. The link has been imbedded into the logo, but if for some reason it doesn't always work, so please link to: This link needs to be 'active' for it to be of any benefit to all concerned. Aussie Authors is devoted to promoting Australian and New Zealand authors. Owned and operated by an Australian author who has been through the slog of not having the necessary exposure for both myself and our books, I've learned the tricks of the trade along the way. For a low fee-for-service cost, Australian and New Zealand authors can receive regular exposure for themselves and their books, help with organising contests, getting the word out, and much more. There is also be the option of having your own webpage hosted on this site. But without readers, none of this will benefit you - the author/writer. So we are constantly directing readers to the site (via contests, advertising etc) so they can find out about your books! And we'd love for you to let your readers know about the site as well. We have free and paid promotions, with all paid services kept to the lowest possible price. We can only include snippets of reviews by law, but can link to the full reviews. We will also promote you in our newsletter. All previous featured authors are archived, so your small promotional outlay will keep working for you in the years to come. Please note: You generally need to book *at least* one month ahead for this as the featured author slots fill very quickly. It is the most popular page on the website with readers.

Book Review Cover $5 per Cover Would you like your book cover on the same page as your review? What about a direct link so readers can click the cover to purchase your book? We leave it on your review permanently. We offer this service to our authors for a ONE TIME ONLY fee of $5.00 for each.
$5 Per Cover If you would like to add up to 3 covers to your interview, there is a fee of $5 per book cover for this service. This does not give the author or publisher any special treatment as far as scheduling. Questions? Contact us!

$20 for One Month The Featured Cover option is a great way to reach readers! Your cover is placed on the front page of AussieAuthors and is a perfect way to celebrating your new release. Your book cover is in the optimal place for all readers to see. It is located on the front page of our site at the Top of the page, and is designed to stand out. The cover is linked directly to the Spotlight page, which will contain information about you and a link to your web site. (Covers only, no banners allowed.) Only one cover will be featured per month. $10 for one month The Front Page Cover option is a great way to reach readers! Your cover is placed on the front page of AussieAuthors, but doesn't not have the Featured Cover slot. We will link your cover to a place of your choice. (Covers only, no banners allowed.)
Author Name/Website Link on Front Cover $8 for One Year Your author name and website listed on the front cover of the site. This will give you exposure as visitors enter the site, and also give you a back-link, making your website easier to find in the search engines. *This will have to be renewed yearly. (See below for special offer of three extra months.)
$8 for One Year - PLUS THREE MONTHS FREE Because it's easier for us if you set up a recurring payment for this, we'll give you three extra months if you take up this option. That means you'll get 15 months instead of 12. *Note: if you change your

This service was added due to popular demand. We have had so many requests from writers living in countries other than Australia and New Zealand, and have finally given in! As a result, we are now offering an additional service - "Global Spotlight". This page is reserved only for the above writers, and runs on the same basis as the Featured Author pages. The cost for this service is AUD$30 per slot, (which is actually much lower in US$'s), and runs for one full calendar month. Book your slot by sending payment. If you have a specific date in mind, provide those details ASAP so we can add you to our booking sheet. It is recommended that you check availability before making payment if the date is imperative. Our Interview Coordinator can customize your interview to discuss a new release, an important event, or can centre the interview around your writing career. Need even more exposure? Host a contest! You will be responsible for writing the blurb, and making all the arrangements. You will do the judging (if applicable) and/or choosing winners. We will provide you with somewhere to host it and will send out information to our subscribers. If appropriate, we'll even provide you with an entire page for your contest. Before requesting any book reviews, please read We now have several book reviewers in Australia. However, you still need to contact us to check availability of book reviews. Depending on the reviewer, we generally accept both electronic and print books for review, but this is dependant on the reviewer. All book reviews are undertaken by volunteers, they are not paid except in the case of express reviews, which is very rare. Requesting a review does not mean your book will be reviewed. We have a small team of reviewers who try to share the load. (To date, *most* requests have been fulfilled.) Reviews usually have a turnaround time of 3-6 weeks, but sometimes it can be more or less. There is no charge for book reviews, unless an express service is required. The fee for quick turn-around reviews is $15. This is to compensate the reviewer for having to put other projects aside. Under no circumstances does this money go to AussieAuthors.com - it is passed onto the reviewer in every case. Become a Book Reviewer: This is another way for you to get exposure. Or for some people, it's a way to get their books for free. To compensate you for your time, we'll give you a webpage hosted on this site, plus you get to keep the books you review. Once submitted, your book cannot be withdrawn except in extremely exceptional circumstances, such as the publisher closing down or a dispute between the publisher and author. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not submit your book for review. This is our site policy and
we will not deviate from it. Webpage - $59.95 for **six months that's only $10 per month! (Hosting alone costs more than that.) This price includes hosting and design of a basic webpage.
