Visitations is A.S. Finney’s follow on novel based around the plot of Earth Angel’s.  Characters Annie and Mandrake reappear in the plot as does Bill the ex-priest.  Two new characters are introduced in this novel, Brett and Freddie.  Brett has a psychic ability called shifting, where he can see things.  Freddie is Brett’s girlfriend and is a geologist and is working on a project dealing with apparitions. 

As the story plods along Sarah Forbes reenters the fray in the battle with evil forces.  Also joining in the plot are aliens who hold the key to what happened on earth in the past that bears some relevance to the present’s strange events.  Liz, Sarah’s girlfriend, has the DNA of Jesus Christ and married to Bill the ex-priest. 

The book rambles through a series of adventures that I found unbelievable.  I felt that the author told too much and did very little showing in the writing style.  This led to a very flat story that was a chore to read

For me Visitations just did not deliver in its content as fantasy novel should.
