Earth Angels is a story based around an entity called the
Tefugart. It has the power to change a planet’s
physical structure and to take over a person’s being.
To counteract this entity’s destructive ways a group of
people slowly begin to unravel its influence upon the
earth.
The novel attempts to build suspense and intrigue around
the main characters of Bill Dane an ex-priest,
archaeologists Sarah Forbes and a Mandrake, a Vatican
priest. Alongside these characters is an aboriginal
girl named Annie, who is an earth angel.
These characters do battle with the Tegugart, and
eventually emerge victorious. I fond the portrayal of
the characters to be unbelievable, they just did not
seem real to me. Events that happened to the characters
just seemed to happen for no reason. The plot read like
the author’s rough notes joined together by random
thoughts.
The book is not a good example of the fantasy genre.
