Ghost Gully is a story conceived as a good idea but poorly
executed. The author had an interesting
topic to play with. Aboriginal beliefs and
spirits combined with a white man who
possessed a special gift. That gift was the
ability to connect on a psychic level with
forces beyond the grave.
What let this novel down was the blandness of the
writing. The imagery that the prose created just did
not convey the richness the author intended. I felt the
story had good potential but never exploited it to the
full.
