Neil McInnes has woven a very entertaining tale,
tongue-in-cheek but so scarily real!A
refreshingly ‘fun-to-read’ story with a cast of
thousands! Okay… maybe not ‘thousands’ but there are
certainly a lot of people. Those who live in the
retirement village, as well as the people that own
and run the place and a few outsiders thrown into
the mix as well.
In any story it is a difficult task to keep track
of a lot of characters and to give each one a
separate personality. Neil McInnes has achieved this
and carried it off beautifully and the way he has
linked the seemingly isolated scenes is brilliant.
Not only a fantastic read, but also a great
learning experience for aspiring authors!
With ‘The Last Resort’ Neil McInnes has achieved
something very special and I can easily see this as
a great Aussie film. Great work, great read!
